The Chinese Marble Game
A Child
alone with the ancient sea
listens
to the gentle winds
shorelines and plum trees
and the colors of Chinese marbles
drift within the cactus sea
Oh Winter sea
the child yells
Oh sea of Spring
why this warlike world
can we not just live
with Chinese marbles and honey seas
The sea began to dance
before the child's eyes
roses filled the sea
with laughter
the roses turned to blood
with no reflection
to this dark sky
the children of this world
ask Why
do you leave us
with blood-filled seas
